Appcharge pricing: what's public

Appcharge publishes no rate card. Its own blog says partners typically pay 4% to 5% in platform fees on web store transactions (March 29, 2026). Here is every public statement about Appcharge pricing with its date, what a fee range like that means on a $9.99 pack, and Appside's published rate of 3.9% per payment for comparison.

People search for "Appcharge pricing" and find no price. This page collects what Appcharge has said in public about its fees, with dates, and puts Appside's published rate next to it so the comparison is on one screen. Appside is a competitor; every Appcharge figure below links to the Appcharge page it comes from.

What Appcharge has said

What the 4% to 5% includes isn't stated on that page: payment processing, tax handling (Appcharge describes itself as a merchant of record elsewhere on its site), chargebacks and support may be inside or outside that figure. Ask for the contract.

What Appside charges

3.9% per successful payment. Nothing else: no setup fee, no monthly fee, no minimum, no contract to negotiate. The number is on the site and in the Studio.

What's inside: the store, the checkout, the Studio with live ops, the SDKs and the webhooks. What's outside: tax. Appside is not a merchant of record; the publisher registers and files, with a tax engine or an accountant (tax guide). We'd rather say that here than in month two.

On a $9.99 pack

Route Fee You keep (before tax, refunds and payment costs where applicable)
App store billing, standard tier, existing install (Google, 25% + 5% billing fee) $3.00 $6.99
Web store at 5% platform fee $0.50 $9.49
Web store at 4% platform fee $0.40 $9.59
Web store at 3.9% (Appside) $0.39 $9.60

The web store saves two to three dollars on the pack regardless of the provider; the provider rate moves the last ten cents. That's why the useful comparison is scope and control, not the percentage alone. The fee pages and the calculator have the platform numbers with their sources.

How to compare the two properly

  1. Get the contract rate in writing, with what it includes (processing, tax, chargebacks) and any minimums.
  2. Count the people in the loop. A store you change yourself costs less than one changed through an account team, whatever the rate.
  3. Count the integration steps. Appside's is three; Appcharge's Payment Links flow is documented as six.
  4. Run both for two weeks on a tier-split test and decide on net revenue per eligible player (how).

Create your store free. No card needed to start; 3.9% per successful payment.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Appcharge cost?

Appcharge doesn't publish a rate card. The only public figure from Appcharge itself is in its blog post of March 29, 2026, which says its partners typically pay between 4% and 5% in platform fees on web store transactions. Whether that includes payment processing, tax handling or anything else isn't stated on that page.

Is there an Appcharge free trial or self-serve sign-up?

Not on its site as of October 2026: the homepage offers a contact form, and its documentation describes onboarding through its team. Appcharge announced an MCP server in May 2026 to speed up onboarding for developers.

What does Appside charge?

3.9% per successful payment, published on the site. No setup fee, no subscription, no minimum. Tax is the publisher's; Appside is not a merchant of record.

What is the difference on a $9.99 pack?

At 4% to 5% the fee is $0.40 to $0.50; at 3.9% it's $0.39. On a thousand such packs, $400 to $500 versus $390. The bigger number in both cases is what the app store would have taken (up to $3.00 on the same pack).

Why does the rate matter less than the margin?

Because the web store's saving comes from the gap with the app store fee (15% to 30%), not from a point of platform fee. Choose on control, integration effort and what the fee includes; then compare the rate.
